tell spooky.mov what you watched, from a script, a media server or anything else that can send a web request.

make an api key

1. sign in at spooky.mov and open your account.
2. under connected apps, click create new api key. a name is optional.
3. copy the key. it’s shown once, and looks like spk_ followed by 43 letters and numbers.

keep your key private. revoking it removes access.

send it with every request as Authorization: Bearer spk_your_key.

limits

• 30 requests a minute per account, 100 watches and 64 kb per request, ten keys per account.
• five or more watches within two minutes of each other in one request count as a bulk “mark as watched”: seen, without a date.
• watches only.
• horror only. everything else is dropped.
• for servers and scripts: web pages on other sites can’t call it.
• spooky.mov is in alpha, and so is this. if it changes, these pages will say so.
